30 years ago tomorrow my sister was born and how those 30 years have flown by. We have been through so much together, we have been to different schools, we have been home-schooled, we have been to the same college but at different times, we have been away, we have got married, we have done so much together but we have also done so many things apart from each other but I am so glad that you are just at the other end of the phone. I am so thankful that you are my sister, I am so thankful that we can talk about anything and everything, I am so thankful that you are just a text away, I am so thankful that you listen to all my moans and groans, I am so thankful that you make me laugh, I am so thankful that you are my sister and I can call on you.
Over the years of us being sisters so many things have happened but I am so thankful that we have been through life together. Even though we have grown and are now married women I am so thankful that you are my sister and we can do anything and everything together. I am so thankful for the lady you have become from a little girl, I am so proud of the work you do, I am so proud that you are my sister, I am so proud of the wife you have become, I am so proud of the aunt you are to baby F, I am so proud of the friend you are, I am so proud of the encourager you are, I am so proud of the fact that you have come through so many hardships and are stronger for it.
There have been so many trials in your life from when you were very young and when you used to be a mother to me and our brother that you have come through and you have still supported us through everything that we have done. There have been things that you have done and that has happened that you are not proud of but have put in the past and moved on and I am so thankful. There have been times when we have been able to have a laugh, like waiting outside your wedding for 15 minutes while your now-husband had to stand to the front. There have been times when we have cried together, from Grandad passing away to your guinea pigs to so much more. There have been times when we have hugged. There have been times when we have had to go to the hospital, always for me and never for you! There have been times when we have gone for a walk. There have been times when we have met up for meals. There have been times when we have gone through a lot and I am so proud that I can call you my sister.
30 years ago you were born to this world but it wasn’t until that you were older that you found yourself and I am so thankful that I have been on this journey with you. I am thankful that we have gone through being young, scared girls to fully grown, married women. 30 years ago you were such a small baby and now you are a lovely grown adult. The birth flower for march is daffodil and did you know the most popular name for 1993 was Jessica! No wonder you named your rabbit Jessica! I am so thankful that 30 years ago tomorrow you were born into my family but it would just be a few years that I would be born and your life would be so much better!
As we look to the next few years, even the next 30, I pray that God would guide you, I pray that God would protect you, I pray that God would be with you, I pray that God would lead you, I pray that God would keep you safe, I pray that God would keep you close to Him and I pray that God would protect you for the next few years and beyond. We don’t know what the next year let alone the next 30 would hold but we know God knows and that we can rely on Him and we know that He will do and plan things that are good for us.
