One year ago today at 11:46pm weighing in at 6lb 2oz our beautiful niece was born and it was one of the best days of my life. I had always wanted to be an aunty and the day had now come and it came. What an amazing time it was and what a wonderful toddler you have become! Our princess F you are such a joy to be around, you have the most beautiful smile, your energy fills up the room, you started to gurgle at such a young age, you wanted to do so much but your body was so young. Your perseverance will get you so far in life, your smile will have all the boys running, your energy will keep everyone on their toes. We are so blessed to have you in our family and so blessed that you are our niece.
Baby F or should I say princess? I know that you are a year older today, I know that a year ago you changed our lives and I know that you will continue to change so many more peoples lives as you carry on in the years. I want you to know that as you get older I will be here to talk to, I will be here for advice, I will be here to spoil you, I will be here to watch rubbish TV with you, I will be here to feed you, I will be here for last minute sleep overs, I will be here for laughter, I will be here to laugh at, I will be here to get things other people won’t let you get, I will be here to help with homework, I will be here to pick you up from school. I will be here for anything and everything you need. As you are our first niece you will always have a special place in our heart. I ask that you don’t grow up to quickly though!
There will be some days that you are confused but give me a call, there will be times when you have news and I want to be the first to hear, there will be times when you are sad and my shoulder can be a place that you can cry on, there will be times when you are hurting and I will be there to give you a hug, there will be times when you just want a cuppa and believe me my kettle will always be on, there will be times when you are scared but I will be there helping you, there will be times when you are happy and I want to know about it, there will be times when you get bullied but you will always be accepted by us, there will be times when you don’t understand but I will try and bring some sense to life. My princess F whatever life throws at you I want you to know that I will be here, I will be here through anything and everything and as you get older just let me know and I will put everything aside for you my princess.
Princess F through anything and everything I want you to know that Uncle Dan and I will love you through anything and everything and will always be there to support you. There will be times in life when Uncle Dan and I are not around and there will be times when mummy and daddy aren’t around either but know that the Lord your God will be with you. Just let Him live in your heart, let Him know how you are feeling and He will fill your heart with joy and acceptance and love. No matter who comes and goes in your life I want you to know that God will always be with you. He can be in your heart, He can fill you with joy, He can fill you with hope and nothing will be better than that.
Princess F thank you for making the last year so memorable, thank you for bringing light into our life, thank you for smiling when we didn’t know that we needed it, thank you for coming into our family. We can’t wait for you to have a cousin and look forward to the time when you have a sibling. We love you so much princess F and so do your mummy and daddy and so many other people. I look forward to seeing how much you grow and develop and look forward to seeing what the Lord does in your life.
