There are times when you just want to give up and want to pack it in. There are times in our life when we don’t find that things are easy, when we find it hard to socialise, when we find it hard to talk about how we are feeling, when we find it hard to get out of bed, when we find it hard at work, when we have problems in our family, when we just want to give up and so much more. We find it hard to keep in going, we find it hard to reach out to people and talk to them. Life can be hard and we do have times that are harder than others but that is part of life and we have to keep on going. However, it can be very hard to keep on going especially when someone we have loved and grown up passes away. It can be hard not to think about them all the time, it can be hard not to forget about them, it is hard to spend Christmases without them, it can be hard not to go on holiday with them.
I lost my grandad a few years ago and it is still hard, it is hard to have Christmases without him, it is hard to pass his birthday without him, it is hard not to go on holiday without him, it is hard to go back to my parents without him, it is hard to go to his house without Him. I can still go back to all the memories I have had and it can be a beautiful thing but it can also be hard too. It can be hard to think back to the times when I was with him and when I was able to laugh with him, when I was able to annoy him, when I was able to have jokes with him, when I can go out with him, when he bought me ice creams and so much more. I will always love the memories that we created but I do wish he was here for a longer period of time.
It can be hard when we have had an illness and we have not been able to do the things that we want to do. We have to miss out on being with our friends, we have to miss out on being with family, we have to miss out on going out and it is hard. When we have a physical problem it can be hard and it will mean that we have to miss out on some things but we are able to get better and we will eventually be able to do the things that we are able to do. Physical pain can be tough and it will get us down but we hope at some point we will get better and it will pass. We all have physical pain and as we get older we will get in more pain because it is natural of life. Most of the time we will be able to deal with it or at least live with what condition we have.
It can be also hard to keep on going when we have mental health problems, it can get us down, it can mean that we have to miss out on things, it will mean that we have mood swings, it can mean that we find it hard to get up in the morning, it can mean that we find it hard to have friends, it can mean that we are in mental pain. Having mental health problems is not talked about today and is still a taboo but so many people have it and so many people suffer each day from it. Mental health has affected me and it has been hard, it has been hard to keep on going and to especially to talk about it. Even so I have to keep on going and get out of bed in the morning. Just because I do not feel well does not mean that life stops instead I should try and get out and to talk to more.
These past few years have been hard and I have had to rely on certain people, I have had to reach out to people that I haven’t needed to before. I have had to try and get better, I have had to try and keep on going. There have been some people that have not been able to understand and so they have dropped out of my life but I am so grateful for those people that have stayed. I am grateful for those people that have stuck by me through the hospital visits, through the mood swings, through the times when I have just wanted to give up. At the end of the day God has helped me and God will help me to carry on.
