I can say that I am the worst at this! I struggle to get of bed on an everyday basis. This is not due to being lazy but because I don’t find the motivation to get out of bed, I don’t know the fully picture of my life, I feel I have no one I can turn to, I have enough to do but feel that I am not capable of doing so and its hard. We all know, especially on a Monday morning, it is hard to get out of bed. We have all had the Monday blues at some point in our lives but for many people that happens everyday and it takes a lot of will power to get out and do something. We all know that we need to get out of bed to do the things that we have to do, nothing comes to our bed and so we have to go and do it ourselves.
We all have things that help us to get through the day, from the huge cup of coffee in the day, seeing the our children’s faces when we get home from work, to smelling the dinner when we open the door, the weekend just being five days away or even the fact hat we really enjoy our job and it is easy for us to get out of bed and to enjoy the day ahead. When we struggle to get out of bed in the morning this is what we have to think about, we have to think about all the things that are going to happen at the end of the day and we need to keep on going but the struggle is real and most of the population go through it. Everyday we make sacrifices to be able to get through the day, whether it is financial to grab a coffee or because we have to get up to get the family ready for the day we all have things that we have to get out of bed for.
In order for us to get through life we have to get out of bed, we have to deal with the children, we have to go to work, we have to make food, we have to earn money, we have to do the washing, we have to do the cleaning, we have to go food shopping, we have to get new shoes, we have to empty our bladder, we have to have hobbies otherwise we go mad and things don’t get done. Do you remember the last time you were stuck in bed with an illness and things didn’t get done? Things soon pile up and things soon get too much. Even when you have been on holiday coming back you have to catch up on the things that haven’t been done for a while, you need to do the piles of washing, you need to tidy the garden. If you carried on the holiday attitude then nothing would get done and your life would go out of routine and get messy.
There are many ways we can learn to get out of bed in the morning but it will still be hard but having a routine will help. In the summer I usually keep the blinds open so then when the alarm goes of the sound of the birds and the bright sun helps me to wake up. It is also known that drinking a lot of liquid before bed helps, you wake up needing to go to the bathroom and once you are up it is easier to stay up than to go back to sleep. We need to put things in place to help us to get up in the morning even if the alarms work we need to be motivated and we need to keep on going. The race of life has not yet finished and is not close to being finished. In order for us to do the things that we want to do we need to get out of bed and keep on going.
The main thing that can wake you up in the morning is seeing what God has in store for you and seeing what blessings God can have on your life. It can be hard each morning to get out of bed because you don’t know what the day will hold but it is important to trust in God and believe that He has a special plan for your life. It is easy to think that life is mundane and we have no reason to be here but we do and God has something very special for our lives. At this moment in time we may not know it but we do know that we need to trust in God and believe that everything we do in life is part of His plan for us and He is in the bigger picture.
