Everyone has a different way of showing love to other people, some have been hurt in the past so they cautious, some are ready to take on any challenge and other just don’t want to put themselves out there because of what has happened in the past. We all try and love others around us and let other people love us but we do find it hard and we don’t want to feel vulnerable and so we just put our walls up and try to keep going with life. We all think the best love is our parents until we find someone else or something else to love and then we just seem to drop them. This is the way of marriage in our society too, we seem to love someone so much and we end up marrying them but do we actually love them? Do we care for them? Do we want the best for them? Do we want to support them? Do we want to be with them? Do we really want to spend the rest of our lives with them or do we just like the idea of being in love?
Did you know that 42% of marriages end in divorce? Did you know 102,007 couples divorces in 2017? Did you know that 62% of divorces were started by the wife? Did you know that 45-49 is the most common age gap to get divorced? Did you know God created marriage to be a lifetime? First of all how amazing but sad are those figures! It just shows that we are now in a society and world that does not value marriage and love between two people let alone in society between different people and different classes. We seem to ignore the fact that we need to love people and we need to be able to reach out to those people who are not generally loved by the world and by society.
The best kind of love is loving someone else and being loved by other people. Love is one of the best things that can happen to someone. Can you remember the time when you gave birth to your baby? You would say it was love at first sight and you felt all the pain go away because of the love that you felt, that is the best kind of love. Do you remember seeing your grandparents happy and just being filled with love, that is the best kind of love. Do you remember seeing your child in their school uniform and being proud of them, that is the best kind of love. Do you remember your spouse getting the job that they have always wanted and being amazed at them, that is the best kind of love. Do you remember seeing a family member win a certain race and smiling so much, that is the best kind of love. Do you remember helping someone to recover from an addiction and seeing their life turn around, that is the best kind of love.
It is important to show people our love and to feel loved by others. It is important that we have the best love for those people and to make sure that they feel deserved and loved even if they have not done as well as they could do on something. It is hard to always feel love for other people and it is hard to be able to feel loved all the time. The best kind of love is just going to someone and showing them your love and in a special way. At first it can be hard and scary but you will get used to it and it will become natural to you. You know with all the best kind of love that you can show and receive there is one better and one that does not fail us, one that does not depend on the mood and one that does not happen when it feels like it.
However, Jesus showed us the best kind of love because He laid down His life for us, He was subjected to hate and torture so that He could show his best love to us. Do you know anyone else who would give their life for you? He showed His best kind of love so that we can live everlasting and we are able to spend eternal life with Him. He has the best kind of love that can fill us and we can pour out to many more people across our society and world as we meet them and help them to understand the best of the best kind of love.
