Stop procrastinating

procrastination

Do you keep putting things off? Do you want to be productive but are not able to? Do you use the words, ‘later’ a lot? Would you rather do something fun rather than doing something that you have too? Do you try and not to do the things that are important? We are all guilty of putting things to the bottom of the list and not wanting to do the things that we need and should do. We seem to want to delay the important things and things that need to be done now. We do the really and immediate important things but not the important things that need to be done. We need to just get on with the things that we need to do and we will succeed and feel better about it. We will feel that we have made progress in all the things that we need to do. You will be amazed at how you feel if you do things that you need to do and you will have so much free time!

I am the worst person for putting things off, I don’t like doing the things that are hard but are quite happy doing the things that are not hard and don’t take loads of time. I am very happy to do the ‘boring’ things and the things that don’t need much thinking. I am very happy to put of the important things and the things that need to be done today. Procrastination is one of the worst things that I can do and it is not helpful to anyone around me but especially me. I find it hard to do the things that we need to do and it is hard to get motivated to do so. I find it hard to get out of bed everyday and get motivated to do the things that I need to do. This could be because of my mental health but it could also be because I procrastinate too much! We all regret waking up in the morning wishing we had done something yesterday.

In this life we have so many distractions, internet, WiFi, food, cooking, children, work, exercise, gym, social media and so much more. More than anything in today’s world we find it hard to get focused and to get motivated and it doesn’t help with all the things around us. With so many things around us it is hard to loose focus and to keep on going no matter what is going around. Procrastination is something that we all do and something that we need to kick out off. It is basically a bug that we need to get rid of and we need to kick the habit. The sooner we kick the habit the sooner we will be able to to get on with the things that are important and we will feel like we have done something good in the day and it has been worth getting out of bed for.

It is important to note that being lazy and procrastination is two very different things. Being lazy is something that we have all done and it is the act of not wanting to do something and not being willing to act. Procrastinating is something that we choose and something that we actively choose. We choose to not to do something and to put it off to the last minute. It is putting something very important off and ignoring the fact that it needs doing and doing soon! We are all guilty of this and we need to start to think about the things that we need to do. What have you put of today that you need to do and complete? Now is the time to do the things that we need to do and now is the time to get going! Once you have done something important than it is good to be able to treat yourself and be proud of the things that you have been able to do.

We all put things of and one thing that we need to do is to put our faith in Jesus. If you were to die today where would you go? Heaven or Hell? God or Satan? You need to stop procrastinating and trust in Jesus so that you are able to go to Heaven and spend forever with Him. Also your life here on earth will be totally different, things won’t change overnight but what will happen is that you will gradually become a different person. Stop procrastinating on the most important choice in life!
