Blog 152: Failing is learning

fail2

If you went down the high street and asked how many deal with failure then it would be a lot of people. Many people have to deal with failure in their lives and it can be hard and frustrating. Failure is something that so many people don’t want to talk about but it is something that so many people struggle with. What we seem to forget is that failure is part of success and it is part of everyday life. It happens to everyone especially when we are trying new things and starting something new. It is part of the process of becoming who you are and becoming successful with everyday life. Failing is not something that we should be mad about but we should be grateful that we are able to learn through every experience that we have no matter what happens.

No matter how many times you feel it, no matter how many times others tell you, no matter how many times you fall short of your goal, no matter how many times you make a mistake, no matter how many times you forget something, no matter how many times you fail you are not a failure but instead you are learning through the times when things do not go your way. You can and must have faith in yourself even if others don’t, you can learn through failing, you can learn through not everything going your way, you can learn through making mistakes. Can you remember the time you tried to ride a bike? You fell of numerous times, you scrapped your knee, you fell over, you went head over handle bars but you kept on going, you kept trying, you kept persevering, you were stubborn why? Because you knew you could do better and you knew that you would not fail, you knew that you could succeed so you kept going, you knew that it would happen at the right time, you knew that you would learn from it and eventually you did!

You will feel so much better when you have failed on your way to success because you have worked hard for it and at the end you feel so good and you have a bounce in your step. We have all heard the story of how it took Thomas Edison 1,000 time to create the light bulb however when asked about it he said he succeeded in 1,000 steps. How many of us take that attitude to our successes and failures on the way? Edison, I bet didn’t enjoy failing so many times but he knew that he would eventually get there if he kept up the hard work and kept on going. He could have gave up the first time He failed but instead He knew deep down that he was able to succeed and that is the most important thing. If we fail one time do we keep going let alone if we fail 1,000 times would we keep going?

I, myself, have failed so many times, with friendships, jobs and so much more! I have failed so many times that I don’t even know what number I am on now! I am thankful for all those people that have stuck by me and given me a second chance at trying to do things in my life. I have been through the wars and I have kept on going, there have been times when I have wanted to give up, I have wanted to end my life, I have wanted to move away from my support network but I have come through the other end. I have been able to keep going no matter what life has thrown at me and I am so grateful for the energy that I have been able to have to keep going.

No matter how I feel and no matter who is around me, no matter how I feel, no matter when I fail, no matter how I succeed God will be there and He will help me to keep on going and keep on with the energy that we have. God I know will help me and will keep me going no matter what life throws at me. I know that I will fail at some points in my life but I know that I will succeed in my life because I trust in God and I will be with Him forever. I am so grateful that He believes in me and He will help me through the failures in my life and to help me to keep on going.
