The school holidays are over and life is back to normal, the normal routine is back whether we like it or not. The children are back and in about 13 weeks time it will be Christmas and then into another new year. Can you believe it! How does the year go so quickly and fast. I have found that as I have got older the years have gone quickly and time seems to be flying past. I seem to blink and then another year goes and I am a year older! I know from being a child going back to school was bad but now being married to a teacher it is just as bad. There seems to be so much to do over the summer holidays that you don’t expect or see until you are a teacher or married to a teacher. There is so many things that need to be done that is can be a very busy 6 weeks and they can fly by without us really noticing.
The classrooms are set up, the first day of the routines have started, the packed lunches are being done, getting the children out of bed on time, getting to bed early, the bath routines, the dinners need to be on the table at the right time and so much more. It seems to be a totally different life after the summer holidays. It seems to be more stressful and annoying, it seems to be more planned and scheduled! Going back to school can be stressful for parents but it can be just as stressful for the children and teachers too. Going back to school after six weeks sucks and can be such a change for so many people, there are so many that start different years and have different teachers. It is something that everyone all over the world has to do not matter whether we like it or not. We feel that it is a waste of time and we loose our life in school but we gain so much knowledge and skills for life. School is part of everyone’s life and as much as we hate it we have to keep on going.
School can be boring, it can be horrendous, it can include bullying, it can be hard work, it can be easy for some, it will be tough, there will be lots of homework, there will be lots of things that we have to get through, it will involve blood, sweat and tears. School can be hard, trust me I’ve been there and as it goes on I would love to say that it gets easier but it doesn’t. It gets harder with exams, coursework and so much more. All I can say is to take the most of the six weeks we have just had of and have a positive mindset to school and learning! School is not going to be easy but when you are older you will look back and be grateful for all the things that you have learnt. All the tears will be worth it and you will learn so much.
Going back to school is a hard adjustment to life and how you feel but it is worth it and you can make friends for life. Going back to school is good because at least you have Christmas in just over 13 weeks! The term was well made when we are sad about going back to school but we can be happy that Christmas is just around the corner! Going back to school means all the general things start again, all the clubs, all the relationships, all the homework, all the school trips, all the packed lunches, all the things that need to be done and the year flies by!
Each year there is a change in the year of who goes to school, what school they go to, what teacher they have, whether they need a PE kit, do the children need lunch or would have it at school. There are so many choices to make and it can be hard. However, with all the change there is one that knows what is coming and knows how we feel before we feel it. God knows what teacher we will have next year before we do, He knows how we will feel as the year goes on. Before we have taken our exams he knows how we will do and how we feel-how amazing is that! God can help if you invite him to be your friend and to be in your heart and trust in Him and the way that He has your life planned out.
