In life we come across people who really love, people who we get on well with, people who understands us, people who we can laugh with, people who we can rant to, people who we don’t see often but carry on where we left off, people where we have got in trouble together, people who we would protect, people who we can be serious with, people who we can give advice, people who we can be childish with, people who we can talk to at anytime of the day, people who just get us, people who we don’t have to explain ourselves too, people who we have gone on a journey together, people who we have known for ages or people we have known for a little time, people who don’t look at our past but help us focus on our future, people who can judge a man just by you talking about them, people who can give you relationship advice, people who you can spend their money and not yours, people who are our best friends.
We all have that one person who is out cream to our strawberries, our salt to our pepper, our jam to our peanut, our socks to our shoes, our wine to our cheese, our chips to our fish, our thread to our needle and we couldn’t be more thankful to them. If we find one person in life we are lucky but if we find two we are blessed. I am very blessed because I have two, Lauren and Alyssa. Alyssa I have known for 6 years now after meeting in Colombia and getting on so well. It is a shame she lives in America and I live here in England. I wish I could see her more. Lauren I met at college almost 10 years ago now, wow that times does go so quickly. She really has helped me through the ups and downs of life. I don’t see them as much as I want to but this is for you Lauren.
Lauren I am so grateful to be able to have you in my life, you have made it so much brighter with you being in it and have helped me when so many other people have walked away. It seems to me that you are more than a best friend, you are my sister and my partner in crime! You lift me up when I am down, you make me laugh at the most stupid things, you make me mad with some of you choices, you tell me to get a grip when I think life is really bad, you are at the end of the phone whatever the time, you will drop everything to come and see me, you are crazy and I love it! You have seen me at my worst and my best, you have seen me grow from being gobby at college to now being a married women, you have helped me to take on the world, but we always seem to have fun in the process!
The truth is without you in my life I don’t think I would be where I am now! It said that your friends are family who you choose for yourself and you know what you really have been! We are not blood related but we are related in craziness, intelligence and in the things we enjoy doing together. Whatever happens and just because I am now married doesn’t mean I don’t have time for you, in fact I have more time for you because you have helped me to be where I am today and you stood next to me as I said, ‘I do.’ We may be busy with what life has thrown our way but we will always have time for each other (you better do anyway!), We always have time for a good old gossip, time to chill, time to order a Chinese, time to watch a movie, time to do anything with you by my side.
Through life we have had our ups and downs but together with Gods help we have got through it and to go through it with you it has been amazing. I just wish that we lived nearer together and we could have a secret tunnel! How cool would that be! We will be neighbours some day I will be there with my tribe of children begging you to give them horse rides and pull your dogs ears! What can be better in life than my children annoying their ‘aunty’ Lauren?! I love you bestie and lets keep going on this adventure and having fun together and with our family as it grows! You need me call me and I mean that!
