I may not yet be married and I may not know what the wedding day will hold. I may not have the people there that I want, I may not have my friends there, I may not have my family there. They may not have been there on the day but when we do have a big celebration they will be there. These two people have been my closet friends, they have been there through the thick and thin, they have been there when I have been crying, they have been there to make me laugh, they have been there to pick me up when I am down, they have been two sides of the world, they have been on the other end of the phone. One is from America and the other came from down the road, one I have known since the beginning of college in 2011 and the other I have known since my gap year in 2015, one I can see a lot and the other it is special when we are able to get together. They are my best friends and I know that they will make my celebration special when it comes.
It has been a whirlwind of the last few months but my girl in America I can’t wait to see your face when you do come over. Girl, you keep me relaxed, you keep me calm, you keep me sane, you keep my nerves in check, you made me laugh, you gave me support, you were the best and my day will not be the same without you here. I am really hoping that nothing else goes on in the world and that we are able to see each other soon. I miss you and can’t wait to have you by my side as I celebrate my wedding and my marriage to the man I love. I am so grateful and blessed to have you in my life and now in my husbands life!
Never did I think that when I met you for the first time we would be friends for so long let alone you being my bridesmaids on the most important day of my life. I cannot believe that you have believed in me, that you have kept me going, that you have been there when no one else has been. Being your friend has been the most privileged I have ever been, your friendship means so much to me and I am blessed that you have been there through everything and will be with me through the future with my husband! We are so grateful that you accepted being bridesmaids-I know you will be amazing. Your endless love for me has been so special however, the love that you have given my now husband to be has been amazing. I knew that you were the best of friends when I first mentioned my man and you gave me so much advice but were so happy for me. I knew at that moment that we would have a special friendship with you and whoever comes into your life.
From the moment I saw you and developed a friendship with you I knew that we would be friends and we would always be talking, we would always be laughing, we would always be there for each other. You both gave me encouragement before I could get married, you solved the disasters without me even knowing that they had happened, I am so lucky to have you both in my life. I know that we do not know what the future will hold but I know that as long as you want me I will always be there for you, I will always be the other end of the phone, I will always be there for you to rant to, I will be there to look after your future children! I will be there throughout your ups and downs, wiping your tears away, making you laugh, being beside you when you have something important happening, being your friend throughout life.
Thank you girls for creating more memories with me, for being with me throughout my wedding preparation, the change of plans, the roller coaster of a ride. I know that when the day comes you will be amazing, you will make sure I have the best day and I can’t wait until we can all be together again. Plans change, the world changes but you will always be my best friends and I am so blessed that we are connected in this way.
