Blog 23: Empty Tank

Do you often feel tired? Do you often feel worried? Do you often feel annoyed? Do you often feel like you can’t keep going?  Do you often feel like you are chugging along? Do you often feel like you have no energy? Do you often feel like your tank is empty? Do you feel like sometimes you are loosing direction?

It is totally normal to have all these feelings and to feel like life is just wearing you down and your not able to fill up. A lot of people don’t want to talk about these feelings because they are frowned upon and there not ‘normal’ but most people would be lying if they have said that they have never had these feelings. It is very normal to have these feelings and to feel like to world is getting on top of you.

For some people it really doesn’t matter how full your tank is sometimes you have just had enough and you want to have some space and you want to be able to ‘leave’ the world behind. It is very easy for us to go onto autopilot and to get up each and everyday to do the things that we need to do but do we ever realise when our tank is getting empty? Do you ever realise when you need ‘me’ time to refill? Its hard in such a busy society to realise when this needs to be done.

When your tank gets empty how do you feel? When your ‘done’ with life what do you do to recover? A lot of people end up having a ‘duvet’ day and just chilling and others go clubbing. What about going for a nice walk and looking at nature and all the things that have been provided for us. It is very easy to just stay in and to relax with the things around us but it is hard to think about the world outside and the natural life. I know personally it is hard to get up in the morning and to just stay in bed when my tank is empty but I know it is also good to be able to get out for a walk.

God created this world so even when our tanks are empty we are able to see the awesomeness of creation and to be able to go out and enjoy it. The world is made for our pleasure and to be able to live a really good life whatever falls before us. God has blessed us with people around to be able to live life to the fullest and to be able to have a full tank.
